The Art and Practice of Wildlife Photography
How can you take better wildlife photographs and hopefully develop the skills to take photographs like the award winning pictures you see in Arizona Highways or other top notch magazines? The answer is simple! First you must learn to use the capacities of your camera. Next, you need to get close to wildlife in nature and take a lot of photographs. Finally, you need to understand the art of photography. Beautiful nature photographs are as much art as they are a replication of what your eye sees. In this class, you will learn the critical elements to obtain the best possible wildlife photographs, including an understanding of lighting, photographic composition, and animal behavior. We will spend the first day of class learning all that there is to know about your camera and how this knowledge can help you take better photographs. The next two classes will be held in local out-of-doors locations where each student will get personal attention while taking photographs of wildlife. Please bring your camera and manual to each class, and read the manual before attending the first class. Bruce D. Taubert has been published in Arizona Highways, Arizona Wildlife Views, Conservation International, WildBird, Birders World, and many other magazines.
