Improve your test scores and boost your confidence...
PVCC’s test preparation program provides you with complete preparation for the PSAT and SAT examinations. All courses use:

  • Classroom lessons
  • Homework reinforcement modules
  • Skill-building exercises
  • Actual test simulation
Students enrolled in this 7 week program nationwide have consistently scored an increase of 150 points from their pre-test at the start of the course to the post-test using Cambridge materials.

SAT / PSAT Test Prep Workshop
This workshop prepares you with comprehensive math and verbal coverage, plus practice in the skills needed to excel on any of the standardized achievement tests. Learn to identify, analyze, and assess test questions including: mathematics, critical reading, sentence completions, English, essay, and reading. Completion of homework allows the student to gain more experience and reinforces workshop strategies. Full-length official practice exams will be administered on the first and last day of class. Materials are provided by Cambridge Educational Services and are included in the course fee. Registering for this class does not register you for the SAT test. Consult with your school counselor regarding SAT test dates, locations and test registration or visit www.collegeboard.com.
Bring two #2 pencils, scrap paper and a scientific or graphing calculator to the first class.

SAT Test Prep One-Day Workshop
This workshop includes a full-length official practice exam in the morning and a workshop in the afternoon. Students learn practical strategies for improving verbal and math scores. Bring two #2 pencils, a scientific or graphing calculator and sack lunch!

SAT/ACT Tutoring (10 Hours Minimum)
Private tutoring will help you receive customized information that is critical to improving test scores. A full-length official practice exam is given prior to tutoring sessions to determine your strengths and areas needing enhancement. Tutoring sessions are then designed to enhance your abilities.
