Basic Digital
Photography Techniques
Digital SLR or 35mm Film
Learn basic digital photography techniques. Learn how to get your camera off ‘program’ or ‘auto’ mode for better pictures. This class offers the opportunity to learn use of shutter and aperture modes for more effective images. Learn proper exposure metering techniques, depth of field, use of filters, flash as well as better composition and travel tips. Student’s cameras must be a digital single lens reflex (SLR) that can be set manually and have interchangeable lenses. No point and shoot cameras, please. Please ready your instruction book and bring it with your camera to class. Field trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens will be on Sat Oct 4, 8:30 - 11am. Students must provide own transportation.
